Spastic tetraparesis (double hemiplegia)

I am Dr. Nikonov and I specialize in Myology. I can rehabilitate a child with spastic tetraparesis (double hemiplegia), which is the most severe form of cerebral palsy. Other doctors are unable to do it because they consider this diagnosis to be a neurological disease, and I am the one, who believes that spastic tetraparesis is a muscle disease. I restore normal muscle function without treating the brain.

All physicians treat brain but do not restore muscle movement! I am the only one who looked into the electron microscope to find the answer on how to affect the muscles of the child diagnosed with spastic tetraparesis (double hemiplegia) to make them move.

I saw changes in the muscle fibers in the electron microscope. I want you to see it also:

The muscle fibers

  1. Bright spots are the swelling that I constantly report.
  2. Dark spots are the nuclei of the muscle fibers, which are not in the center of the fiber but "fell" on the periphery of the fiber. It means that the swelling inside the muscle fiber is so dense that it shifts the nucleus to the edge of the cell.
  3. Mitochondria that produce energy for movement proteins actin and myosin are friable. They cannot produce enough energy to make proteins move in the conditions of swelling.

Studying the brain using ultrasound and MRI in children with spastic tetraparesis, we see no changes in the brain neurons. However, since the name of the diagnosis belongs to the scope of neurology (in the old fashioned way since XIX century), neuroscientists are trying to explain the cause of this pathology in children and prove you that it is impossible to restore brain cells.

If ultrasound and MRI do not show changes in brain cells, then why argue that the brain cannot be treated?

I refer to the data received by Professor Saveliev S. V. He is the head of the laboratory of the morphology of the brain of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Professor had the opportunity to see in the electron microscope tissues of human embryos at various stages of development. Sergei Saveliev saw a swelling in embryonic muscles develops by week 6 of the fetal development. These embryos had no changes of the nervous system.

As you can see, muscle diseases develop by week 6 of embryonic muscle development.

It turns out that the causes that of a severe form of cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, named by the neurologists, are not correct. I will list the causes, which the neurologists believe to be the causes of double hemiplegia, and comment on them.

Causes

Neuroscientists believe that the primary cause of spastic tetraplegia in case of premature children is perinatal hypoxia.

On the photo of spastic muscle made using the electron microscope you can see that the number of vessels is decreased due to the swelling. It means that hypoxia is present in the swollen spastic muscles and not in the brain.

 

Neuroscientists believe that the primary cause of spastic tetraplegia in term babies is neuronal necrosis in fetal chronic hypoxia.

Neuronal necrosis cannot be detected by ultrasound or MRI. Data on necrosis are presumable. There is no evidence of neuronal necrosis. Data on muscle swelling can be obtained by the electron microscope.

 

Neuroscientists believe that the cause of spastic tetraparesis a toxic factor: alcohol, smoking using potent drugs.

The fetus is in the placenta. Nature made the placenta to act as a filter. All substances transported by blood lend on its walls. The placenta does not pass nicotine and potent substances.

On alcohol: Professor Saveliev S. V. of the Russian Academy of Sciences has shown that human body produces alcohol for nutrition. The amount of alcohol produced by the human body, tells brain neurons what amount of food was eaten. Professor Saveliev S. V. proved that alcohol does not disrupt the development of neurons in the fetal brain. It means that it is another fantasy of neurologists.

 

Neuroscientists believe that the cause double hemiplegia (spastic tetraparesis) is a physical influence. Brain lesion may occur under the influence of radiation, x-ray of a pregnant woman and because of electromagnetic treatment.

Ultrasound and MRI do not show neuron lesions in the brain. However, these physical factors can strengthen muscle swelling. As a result of the influence of these physical factors, a disease of the muscles, but not a disease of the brain can develop.

 

Neuroscientists believe that mechanical causes can lead to the brain lesion. Mechanical damages are injuries occurred immediately after birth.

Neurons can be damaged by a hemorrhage in the brain but not by a shock. Professor Saveliev S. V. claims that brain clears itself of dead neurons in three months. Dead neurons do not restore. There can be millions of dead neurons, but there are trillions of neurons. These millions do not affect the functioning of the brain. The brain completely restores lost connections between neurons within six months.

If the brain restores connections within six months, spastic tetraparesis should disappear within six months, too, but this is not happening. On the contrary, the brain improves its functioning while clinical manifestations in children with spastic tetraparesis become more severe.

 

Symptoms

Now I will tell you about the symptoms of spastic tetraparesis that you can discover watching your child.

In double hemiplegia, the following symptoms are diagnosed:

I want to add information on epileptic seizures. They begin against the backdrop of drug treatment with medications stimulating brain cells. As soon as epileptic seizures develop, doctors prescribe medications that inhibit the brain.

 

In cerebral palsy with spastic tetraparesis early development of passive movement limitations, deformations of the limbs and trunk are observed.

No bone deformities. Swollen muscles look line deformations.

 

In children with spastic tetraparesis (double hemiplegia) strabismus, optic nerve atrophy, hearing impairment can be present.

Spastic tetraparesis has two forms: spastic tetraparesis and lower paraparesis.

Neuroscientists explain that spasticity is a "motor violation, which is part of the upper motor neuron lesion syndrome, characterized by a speed-dependent increase in muscle tone and accompanied by the increase in tendon reflexes as a result of hyperexcitability of stretch receptors".

In spastic tetraparesis, movement violations are connected not only with a high muscle tone but mostly with reciprocal decrease of the phasic system on its backdrop. In the later development, the impact of unreduced tonic reflexes leads to deformation of the musculoskeletal system structures and feet are the first to be affected. Further development of deformations leads to the impossibility of bipedal gait development that leads to increased pathologies.

Interestingly, these symptoms do not develop in the beginning of nervous system diseases with aging. In cerebral palsy, unlike central spastic paralysis, abnormal tonic and phasic reactions, which inhibit the motor function or deform it, are observed. 

Spastic tetraparesis is accompanied by small development abnormalities, which are a consequence of intrauterine brain lesions. At the age of 2-3 years, symptoms of cerebellar lesion manifest in children, resulting in the impossibility of independent movement, holding the head, etc. In most cases, spastic tetraparesis is accompanied by a mental capacity decrease, the degree of which depends on the localization of the brain lesions.

Using the electron microscope we can see a swelling in muscles, the shift of the nuclei, mitochondrial changes and increase of the connective tissue thickness, which covers the swelling as a bag. Naturally, every year the swelling increases and muscles are swollen more and more.

 

It is possible to connect it with any symptoms, including the cerebellar lesion. However, it is impossible to prove it, because the structure of the cerebellum is not damaged physically. Intelligence depends on the muscle movements of hands and mouth. Without movements in the hand muscles, the child does not talk or chew food, so the developmental lag occurs by itself.

Treatment of spastic tetraparesis

As I write the article myself, in my experience there is the only way to rehabilitate a child, which I developed myself, and it is the emendic procedures. Emendic procedures include emendic massage of the swollen muscles when a certain muscle is fixed and massaged.

Neuroscientists believe that to it is impossible to rehabilitate children with this diagnosis and suggest treating spastic tetraparesis (double hemiplegia) with comprehensive treatment, including conservative, orthopedic and rehabilitation methods. The main goal of the therapy is to eliminate the following effects of the disease: spasticity, musculoskeletal system violation, and incorrect motor stereotype.

Conservative treatment includes drug therapy with Baclofen and botulinum toxin, which reduce spasticity, increase impulse conduction, enhance metabolism in the brain, which should lead to an increase in passive movements in the limbs.

Conservative treatment does not increase the passive movements, not to mention the active movements.

 

Neuroscientists offer physical therapy, which includes a set of exercises, postures and movements aimed at strengthening muscles.

How can you strengthen spastic muscles? Try to move them at least!

Neuroscientists offer surgical treatment of double hemiplegia. During the operation, muscle stretching and contracture treatment, as well as tendon plastics, are performed.

I have not seen any child with spastic tetraparesis, who was physically better after the surgery.

 

Neurologists cannot normalize the spastic muscles in tetraparesis, so they offer a rehabilitation, which, from the point of view of doctors, helps to adapt a patient to the conditions of life. Rehabilitation activities include occupational therapy, speech therapy classes, aquatic therapy and hippotherapy.

The task of the occupational therapy that uses gaming techniques, techniques for copying and retaining, is the development of the hand motorics and movement regulation. Speech therapy classes allow treating speech problems and swallowing reflex violation.

Aquatic therapy helps to eliminate the pain through relaxation of spastic areas and helps to strengthen muscles. In hippotherapy, a child rides a horse, which contributes to the stimulation of motor reflexes.

Spastic muscles in spastic tetraparesis do not move due to the swelling. When the muscle is swollen, it will start moving neither on a horseback, nor in the pool, nor with the speech therapist.

Two-sided spasticity equally expressed in both the upper and the lower limbs (spastic quadriplegia or tetraparesis). Note that there are forms when spasticity of the hands prevails. In spastic tetraparesis, secondary complications such as contractures, deformity of the torso and limbs form very early. Pathological hand and foot reflexes are diagnosed.

In this case, cognitive impairment is severe. Strabismus, optic nerve atrophy, hearing impairment, pseudobulbar palsy and as a result dysarthria, dysphagia and dysphonia. Children with double hemiplegia often have indistinct, muttering speech, poorly comprehensible to others. Sounds are often mispronounced. The tempo of speech is changed. Words and sounds are pronounced overly loud and fast or weakly and slowly. Thinking of the most severe form of cerebral palsy is slow, inert and the memory is weakened. Often disinhibition, euphoria, abulia and apathy are observed.

Other pathologies: epilepsy, secondary microcephaly.
