At the time of contacting me, Jacob has the diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, confirmed by genetic research.
Child complaints: difficult walking the stairs, rising from the floor, does not run, as there is a great weakness that stumbles endlessly. In addition, muscle fatigue forces Jacob to sit down and rest after a few steps.
The first signs of the disease in the form of muscle weakness appeared in Jacob at the age of 2 years.
By the age of 6, Jacob developed a typical "duck gait" ((Waddling Gait) - swinging in the hip joints. In addition, pseudohypertrophy of the gastrocnemius, deltoid and gluteus muscles was formed.
Jacob says that he has weakness in the lower back, in the legs, in the soma, and in his hands. Over the past year, the child’s parents have noted the strengthening of their son’s weakness and are alarmed. As Jacob is a citizen of Ireland, his parents turned to Irish rehabilitation centers, where doctors told them that Duchenne muscular dystrophy is not treated, they offered steroid treatment (as recommended by the World Health Organization). But Jacob's parents, knowing that steroids may not very well affect the work of the internal organs, refused to use them.
Jacob's Duchenne muscular dystrophy has arisen due to a spontaneous mutation of a gene region that produces dystrophin protein. That is genetic disease was not transmitted from the mother, since the genetic analysis of Jacob's mother did not reveal the damaged gene.
When Jacob's parents turned to me, Nikolai Borisovich Nikonov, with a request to help their son, I replied that I could not influence the changed gene. So I can't help the muscle cell produce enough dystrophin.
But I can help the muscle cell to start getting rid of the extra lumps of fat accumulations, of which there are a very large number in the cell.
In Duchenne muscular dystrophy, mitochondria, which give energy to the motor proteins of the cell, are not in their places, but accumulated on the periphery of the cell membrane.
The entire space inside the cell between the motor proteins is occupied by fat accumulations. Even if give energy with the help of drugs to motor proteins, they will not be able to reduce due to the fact that the fat accumulations clamped them as a press.
So, if you reduce the amount of fat accumulations inside the muscle cell, that the mitochondria return to their jobs. The mitochondria will resume the supply of energy to the motor proteins, which by this time will not be compressed, and the muscles will begin to move. The more mitochondria will return, the more powerful the energy will be, the stronger the muscle will be.
Healthy cells are covered with a thin membrane called endomysium, but the invaded tissue around the muscle cells are increasingly filled with fat or fibrous cartilage tissue. This is called endometrial fibrosis.
Because macrophages understand that something is wrong, they penetrate into the swelling zone, and initiate an immune response that causes swelling. Swelling weakens the damaged cells even more and reduces their number. The process of reducing muscle cells is slow, which explains the progressive weakening pathology of the disease. Dead cells are usually replaced by a matrix of white tissue.
I thought, if you squeeze this swelling by my method, then it is possible to reduce its negative impact on muscle cells.
Using the example of the effect on muscle swelling in Jacob, I show a positive result in the appearance of force in the muscles. The first procedures I performed for Jacob were the most difficult.
Before the procedure, I achieved a good disposition towards myself, having established contact with Jacob. To build relationships with a child who is 6 years old, who does not speak and does not understand the Russian language, in addition, he is frightened by the previous effects of medical workers in other rehabilitation centers is very difficult.
