Sergii's muscular dystrophy began to appear at the age of 10 years. The disease began with general physical weakness. Especially weakness was manifested in physical education classes. Then Sergii began to notice that he was squatting not in the same way as his classmates. Classmates sat down gently, and Sergii fell on his haunches and held his hand so as not to fall. The boy could not stand up without the help of his hands.
The young man began to notice that weakness was symmetrical in both legs. When Sergii’s parents turned to doctors about his son’s weakness, they noted that the calf muscles are very indurated and voluminous, looks most like bottles. This state of the calf muscles is called Pseudohypertrophy.
Sergii began to show a progressive lumbar lordosis, which progressed over the years more and more, "duck" way of walking appeared.
For uprise from the floor, Sergii got up, pulling himself up on his hands. He stopped running, because he stumbled all the time, and his muscle weakness increased so much that he had to stop running after a few steps.

Life expectancy for patients with Becker muscular dystrophy is 40 years. Sergii had an elevated serum creatine phosphokinase concentration and Myoglobinuria. Since it is difficult to distinguish Becker Myodystrophy from Duchenne Myodystrophy, maintaining the strength of the neck flexor muscles allows us to differentiate diagnoses.

Becker Muscular Dystrophy is due to the fact that the gene producing the dystrophin protein is damaged. Dystrophin is produced, but in other configurations. Dystrophin protein is the largest protein in the muscle cell. He makes the frame of the cell so that it is hollow inside. The frame of the muscle cell consists of a dystrophin protein and resembles a metal grid with holes. Through these holes, nutrients enter the cell and the wastes remove. Since the dystrophin mesh is not one-piece like a brick wall, this mesh can expand and contract. The two motor proteins within this framework, actin and myosin, expand and contract the mesh. Actin and myosin can move if give them energy. The energy of motor proteins comes from mitochondria.
When I looked under an electron microscope at the structure of the muscle cell with Becker myodystrophy, I saw that inside the muscle cell mitochondria are located not near the motor proteins, but near the periphery of the cell. I also saw that there are a lot of fatty inclusions inside the muscle cell. This means that these fatty inclusions have removed mitochondria from it workplaces and motor proteins cannot work.
